Low-Wake Passenger Ferries and Water Taxis

Originally developed to solve the wave damage problem in Venice, Italy, today, the M-hull technology has evolved into design solutions that offer efficient, low-wake ferry transport with greater speed, better ride quality and larger payload capacity.

M Ship has built operational prototypes in key markets, including:

M382 Utility Workboat

M Ship's line of Utility Workboats are individually designed and configured to meet each client's specific needs. They typically feature all-welded aluminum construction for durability and toughness. That said, steel and composite design options are offered, too.

M65 Vaporetto Passenger Ferry

The M65 Vaporetto has been delivered to Venice, Italy, for use as a shuttle between the Marco Polo Airport and the Grand Canal, but its application is universal. Its unique styling blends form with function. The boat provides maximum visibility from a steering station right at the bow. Spray and boat motion make this placement impossible on a conventional boat.

M22 Fast Water Taxi

The M22 Water Taxi blends functionality, speed and economy and is now operating in the narrow canals of Venice, Italy. Perfect for taxi or tour service; the boat can hold 8 to 10 passengers.

M19 EcoBarca

The EcoBarca is the first environmentally sensitive boat that combines the low-wake M-Hull with electric propulsion. Designed by the M Ship Co. of San Diego and Built by Duffy Electric Boat in Newport Beach, California, the EcoBarca allows you to enjoy your unique waterfront surroundings at a comfortable, soothing pace without polluting the environment or disturbing residents.
